Urs Karpatz!!!! This is an amazing group. They are absolute masters of their craft and display an unsurpassed professionalism. Hard working and disciplined, their joie de vivre is genuine and their energy is unbelievable. Their mesmerizing music conjures Gypsy camp-fire dreams. Traditional styles and techniques are used with both standards and original songs. Strong vocals and harmonies, intoxicating rhythms, instruments played with impeccable virtuoisity by each of the group's members, all combine to win over all listeners. Nobody doesn't like Urs Karpatz.

During the Pelerinage de Sara, Urs Karpatz is a fixutre around l'eglise. They play all day, moving with the sun and the crowds and the events that ensue. They create a crowd with their first notes.

It has been our extreme pleasure to develop a friendship with this group over the last five years which we hope will continue for many more. We have seen them perform in concert halls, which is wonderful, but for us, our hearts best remember their music on the streets of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer.
